2015
On May 6, 2015, Louis M. Kodumal presented an Annual Update of recently enacted Pennsylvania legislation affecting real estate and land use matters, and Vincent B. Mancini presented an Annual Survey of Pennsylvania Land Use and Zoning caselaw, at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, held at the Sheraton Downtown Philadelphia hotel.
Brian C. LeGrow, Esquire presented Fundamentals of Landlord-Tenant Law in February 2015 in Philadelphia as a CLE seminar for Sterling Educational Services.
2014
On December 19, 2014, Vincent B. Mancini presented the “Annual Survey of Pennsylvania Land Use and Zoning Law” for the Real Estate Practices Committee of the Delaware County Bar Association.
Brian C. LeGrow, Esquire spoke on the subject of “Litigating a Residential Failure to Disclose Defects Claim” as a CLE seminar for the Real Estate Practices Committee of the Delaware County Bar Association on October 31, 2014.
On August 22, 2014, Louis M. Kodumal and Thomas P. Taylor, Esquire, Attorney and Licensed Agent, Brite Realty Services, Inc., presented the seminar, “Marketing and Leasing of Small Commercial Properties” for the Real Estate Practices Committee of the Delaware County Bar Association.
Louis M. Kodumal completed his term as Chairman of the PBA RPPT Section, which presented him with an award of merit for his services. He will serve as Immediate Past Chair of the Section, as well as Co-Course Planner for the Section’s 2015 Annual Meeting.
Vincent B. Mancini has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Delaware County Bar Association and will serve as the Recording Secretary for the 2014 term.
2013
On December 20, 2013, Vincent B. Mancini conducted the CLE seminar, “Annual Survey of Land Use and Zoning Law” for the Real Estate Practices Committee of the Delaware County Bar Association.
As a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Delaware County Bar Association, Gina Gerber lent her time and talents to make the YLS holiday party for underprivileged children and their families held on December 7, 2013 a great success.
On December 4, 2013, Louis M. Kodumal and Thomas Taylor of Brite Realty presented the seminar “Landlord Rights and Responsibilities for Small Commercial Spaces” at the 17th Annual Real Estate Institute of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI), held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The following day, Louis also addressed the attendees on behalf of the RPPT Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The PBI Real Estate Institute is the largest annual conference of real estate attorneys in Pennsylvania.
Louis M. Kodumal was a co-presenter on the subject of “Negotiating Retail Shopping Center and Office Building Leases” for the National Business Institute (NBI) CLE seminar, “Commercial Leases: Negotiating Key Provisions”, held in Philadelphia on November 12, 2013.
On May 9, 2013, Louis M. Kodumal was elected Chairman of the Real Property, Probate, & Trust Law (RPPT) Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The Section’s membership consists of nearly 2,200 attorneys across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, practicing in the areas of real estate, probate, and trust law.
On May 8, 2013, Vincent B. Mancini co-presented the seminar, “Recent Developments in Real Property Law”, and Louis M. Kodumal co-presented the seminar, “Redevelopment of the City of Pittsburgh’s Strip District”, at the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh.
Brian C. LeGrow and Paul Toner lectured on “Common Liability Issues” as part of the National Business Institute seminar on “Handling the Police Liability Claim”, held in Philadelphia.
On Jan 11, 2013, Vincent B. Mancini received the Honorable Paul R. Sand President’s Award from the Delaware County Bar Association at the 140th Annual President’s Dinner of the Bar Association. The award is presented annually to a member of the Bar who has furthered the concepts of the association, or a lay person who has fostered interest and respect for the law.
2012
Vincent B. Mancini presented the CLE Seminar, “Annual Survey of General Real Estate, Zoning, and Land Use Law” and Louis M. Kodumal presented the CLE Seminar, “Using Redevelopment Law to Transform Blighted Areas – the Redevelopment Authority’s Perspective”, on May 9, 2012 at the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Annual Meeting in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Louis M. Kodumal was elected Vice-Chair, Real Estate Division, of the PBA Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section Council.
2011
On December 15, 2011, Vincent B. Mancini presented the CLE Seminar, “Annual Survey of Pennsylvania Zoning & Land Use Law”, for the Delaware County Bar Association’s Real Estate Practices Committee.
Louis M. Kodumal and Lee A. Stivale represented the law firm at the December meeting of the Delco Property Investors group, held at the Ramada Inn in Essington, PA.
Vincent B. Mancini has recently been appointed to serve as Treasurer of the Commonwealth Court Historical Society.
On Saturday, December 10, 2011, Gina Gerber and Brian C. LeGrow volunteered their time and talents to help the Young Lawyers Section of the Delaware County Bar Association conduct its annual Holiday Party benefitting underprivileged children. The event, held at the Media Community Center, was a great success and a wonderful time was enjoyed by all who participated.
Joseph T. Doyle, Brian C. LeGrow, and Gina Gerber obtained a favorable Opinion, issued on November 23, 2011 by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, establishing that the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act may not apply to all phases of construction and that the project at issue was rationally divisible according to the major phases of shell and fit out construction. The Supreme Court’s decision is presently available through WESTLAW at 2011 WL 5865752.
On November 18, 2011, Brian C. LeGrow co-presented the CLE seminar, “Defending Residential Mortgage Foreclosures”, before the Real Estate Practices Committee of the Delaware County Bar Association.
Vincent B. Mancini arranged for a panel of Judges from the Commonwealth Court — the Hon. Robert “Robin” Simpson, the Hon. Renee Cohn Jubelirer, and the Hon. Mary Hannah Leavitt — to present a CLE seminar on the topics of “Duty of Good Faith Review of Subdivision and Land Development Applications” and “The Future of the Doctrine of ‘Void Ab Initio’ in Pennsylvania Land Use Law”. The seminar took place at the Delaware County Bar Association on Friday, October 28, 2011.
Louis M. Kodumal served as a panel member for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s continuing legal education seminar, “Real Estate Issues in Estates”, held in Philadelphia on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. He also conducted a seminar on “Act 90: the Neighborhood Blight Reclamation and Revitalization Act” for the Delaware County Bar Association’s Real Estate Practices Committee on August 26, 2011.

“Act 90 of 2010 – The Neighborhood Blight Reclamation and Revitalization Act”, an article written by Louis M. Kodumal, appears in the Winter 2011 Newsletter of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ordered the PA Department of Education to give the Walter D. Palmer Leadership Learning Partners Charter School (represented by the Honorable Joseph T. Doyle) $1.3 million in funds in a dispute involving enrollment of students at the School, and payments for the education of these students which the School asserts that the District must make to the School. The School District’s appeal from the related administrative proceeding continues in the Commonwealth Court:
Paul J. Toner has successfully represented a neighborhood association in Philadelphia in a court challenge to the grant of variances to the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) by the Zoning Board. The challenge filed in the Court of Common Pleas by the association asserted that the property developed by PHA failed to provide off-street parking as required under the Philadelphia Zoning Code. The matter is now being appealed by PHA:

As of 2011, Vincent B. Mancini has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Williamson Free School of the Mechanical Trades, as well as to the Board of Directors of the Delaware County Historical Society and the Board of Directors of Filitalia International.
2010
In December of 2010, Brian C. LeGrow received a Certificate of Award for Outstanding Achievement in Pro Bono representation from the Delaware County Bar Association and Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
On October 29, 2010, Vincent B. Mancini presented the CLE seminar, “Annual Survey of General Real Estate, Zoning and Land Use Law” at Generations Restaurant in Media.
Brian C. LeGrow was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in October of 2010.
In October of 2010, Paul J. Toner was appointed to the position of Assistant Editor for Real Property Law for the Newsletter of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

In August, after a four day jury trial, Brian C. LeGrow and Paul J. Toner won a jury verdict in a residential construction case.
