Civil & Commercial Litigation

Civil litigation involves the area of law concerned with the liability of individuals, businesses, and other organizations, for which damages (compensation) and other remedies may be awarded.

Civil law courts provide a forum for deciding disputes involving contract disputes, actions involving wrongful conduct, whether through negligence or by intentional torts (e.g. trespass, conversion of property, etc.), and any other non-criminal litigation matters that involve private parties and organizations, as well as government entities or agencies.

We represent clients through all stages of litigation – investigations, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial matters, the trial itself, and if appropriate, settlements and/or appeals of trial decisions.

Examples of civil litigation handled by our firm include but are not limited to the following:

  • Commercial litigation (e.g. breach of non-competition agreements, sales agreements, etc.)
  • Construction litigation, including mechanic’s lien and contractor payment claims
  • Injunctive Relief, including temporary restraining orders (TROs) and other emergency relief
  • Employment litigation
  • Trespass Actions
  • Landlord-tenant evictions
